Rep. Dennis Kucinich-Led Bipartisan Group of Lawmakers to Sue President Obama Over Military Action in Libya

President Barack Obama will be sued by a group of "bipartisan" lawmakers, who have accused him of making an illegal end-run around Congress when he approved military action against Libya. If we could only get true bipartisanship when we really need it -- high foreclosure rates, debt ceiling, high unemployment rates, etc.

“With regard to the war in Libya, we believe that the law was violated. We have asked the courts to move to protect the American people from the results of these illegal policies,” said Rep. Dennis Kucinich (D-Ohio), who led the 10-member anti-war coalition with Rep. Walter Jones (R-N.C.). Source

Does anyone ever listen to Dennis Kucinich? How the heck does he continue to be reelected in his district? It is interesting to note that Rep. John Conyers (D-MI), whose wife is behind bars on bribery charges, is a part of this bipartisan group. The lawsuit comes on the heels of House Speaker John Boehner (R-OH) letter to President Obama claiming military action in Libya will violate the 1973 War Powers Resolution if it isn't ended by Friday. I would like to think that President Obama, who is a constitutional law scholar, knows what he was doing. But stranger things have happened, such as George Bush serving for two terms.
