Brooklyn Resident Thomas Dunikowski Fires on Group of Teens, Wounding Two, Because They Were Making a Lot of Noise on his Front Stoop

Thomas Dunikowski, 30, opened fire on a group of teens with a hunting rifle after they refused to stop hanging out on his stoop. Two teens were sustained gunshot wounds. Both are hospitalized and expected to survive. The teens were reportedly very loud as they hung out on the stoop outside Dunikowski's home on Stuart St. in Marine Park, Brooklyn, about 11:40 p.m. Saturday, the NY Daily News said. But this really rise to the level of pulling out your gun and shooting indiscriminately? Why not simply pick up the phone and call the police? What the heck is going on?
Dunikowski, who has a prior arrest record for domestic incidents, was busted a short time later at his home. He didn't go quietly - leading officers to charge him with resisting arrest, police said.

He was also booked on counts of assault, intent to cause serious injury with a weapon, unlawful use of a loaded firearm and reckless endangerment, police said. He was awaiting arraignment early Sunday afternoon. Source
Six people have died in New York, plus seven reportedly injured and that was just during the weekend.
