Florida Democratic lawmaker Alcee Hastings facing ethics review after former staffer Winsome Packer accuses him of sexual harassment and retaliation when she tried to report it.

Another sex scandal in the making? According to the Wall Street Journal, the Office of Congressional Ethics is investigating allegations that Rep. Alcee Hastings (D-FL) sexually harassed a former member of his staff, Winsome Packer. It should be noted that the investigations are in the early stages, but this could get really ugly. It began at least a month ago after Judicial Watch, a conservative group, filed a lawsuit as the legal counsel for Winsome Packer, a staffer on a commission Mr. Hastings headed. She alleged that she had been sexually harassed by the congressman and that he retaliated when she tried to report it. Source
