Is GOP Presidential Candidate Jon Huntsman the White Version of his Former Boss, President Barack Obama?

Is former Utah Gov. Jon Huntsman, who threw his hat in the ring for GOP presidential nomination, the white version of his former boss President Barack Obama?

Former Utah Gov. Jon Huntsman threw his hat in the ring to nab the GOP presidential nomination with much fanfare -- in the shadow of the Statue of Liberty, warning "for the first time in our history, we are about to pass down to the next generation a country that is less powerful, less compassionate, less competitive and less confident than the one we got. This is totally unacceptable and totally un-American." Er, I would believe his words, but he's the white version of Barack Obama on so many levels.

Personally, I prefer a moderate candidate on both sides of the aisle, but Jon Huntsman isn't that moderate I'm looking for. At least on first look. He opposes abortion rights but favors civil unions. Shouldn't a woman have the right to choose, just as the LGBT community have the right to share their lives with whomever they so desire? He embraced President Obama's stimulus plan, but seems to be flip-flopping on that now. You know, he's rolling with the Republicans now. He worked with Democrats to pass cap and trade legislation, but now has a problem with the whole thing. He prides himself on being an economic conservative, cutting taxes and balancing budgets, plus passing free market health care reforms without a mandate. All good, but let's see what he REALLY, REALLY brings to the table or if he will continue to flip-flop like Mitt Romney.

It just seems to me like Jon Huntsman is a little too much like Barack Obama for me. Yeah, the white version. He had to have identified with many of President Obama's policies for him to serve as his Ambassador to China. Yes, China....
