GA Toddler Jasmine Greene Dies After Being Left in Daycare Center Van After Returning from Chuck E. Cheese Field Trip

Jasmine Green, 2, died after being left in a daycare van in Clayton County, Ga., Monday. The van had returned to the daycare center, Marlo's Magnificient Early Learning Center, after a field trip to Chuck E. Cheese and the toddler was left behind after she reportedly fell asleep between two seats. Excuse me, but don't you check your roster to make sure everyone is accounted for when you get to the daycare center?

The center, owned by Marlo Fallings, has been cited by the state of Georgia before. According to the Atlanta Journal Constitution, it was cited during a March visit for not documenting a field trip form indicating which children were transported, according to the report. State law requires that a check be done after the completion of a trip.

Jasmin Greene was transported to Southern Regional Medical Center, but later died. Temperatures in Atlanta reached mid-90s Monday. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family. This was careless and should not have happened.

UPDATE#1:

Marlo Maria Fallings, Quantabia Shantell Hopkins and a juvenile have been arrested on cruelty to children, involuntary manslaughter and reckless conduct in the death of Jasmine Greene.
