Domestic Violence Victim, Trish Sadler, Told Friend to Call Police If She Failed to Come Work, Live-in Boyfriend William Ward Facing Murder Charges

Trish Sadler, whose body was found dismembered in her Bethlehem, Pa. home, told a co-worker a week before her death, that her boyfriend, William Ward, said he would kill her. That's exactly what he did and the co-worker called police when Ms. Sadler did not report for work a second day in a row. A police affidavit states that Sadler, 29, confided in a friend that the police should be contacted if she failed to show up for work because Ward had been abusing her. It is a sad commentary that Trish Sadler felt such hopelessness that she could turn to someone or somewhere for help. Domestic violence shouldn't be swept under a rug. We need more education about assistance available to domestic violence victims. This woman should not have lost her life. This was senseless.
