U.S. Rep. Michele Bachmann Files Paperwork to Start, Lead Tea Party House Caucus

Rep. Michele Bachman (R-MN)files paperwork to start House Tea Party Caucus with her as its leader.

GOP wingnut Rep. Michele Bachman filed paperwork to start a House Tea Party Caucus in the current 111th Congress, with her as the chairwoman. This comes on the heels of Kentucky GOP Senate candidate Rand Paul's recent comments that he might start a similar caucus in the Senate if he were elected. Here;s an excerpt from Michele Bachman's letter (h/t Think Progress):
I would like to register the House Tea Party Caucus as a Congressional Member Organization for the 111th Congress. The House Tea Party Caucus will serve as an informal group of Members dedicated to promote American’s call for fiscal responsibility, adherence to the Constitution, and limited government. Presently, I will serve as the chair of the House Tea Party Caucus.
To all the Republicans in the House who oppose the Tea Party movement, well, Michele Bachman has set her sights on a leadership role that could be a thorn in your side.
