Fox News Brit Hume says former USDA director Shirley Sherrod got off easy for comments made 24 years ago about her reluctance to help a white farmer.

Fox News is at it again. Continuing its modern-day lynching of Shirley Sherrod. Brit Hume, who makes me drowsy just listening to him yak on and on, said Mrs. Sherrod got off easy. Wow, is that the same pass given to the late Senator Robert Byrd, Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-AL) and the late Sens. Jesse Helms & Strom Thurmond? Wait, is this the same slap on the wrist given to liar and smearer Andrew Breitbart? Give me a break. The reality is Fox News meant to impugn the character of Shirley Sherrod. Their true colors continue to show daily.
