Jason Green, EMT worker suspended for abandoning dying pregnant woman Eutisha Rennix in Brooklyn coffee shop, shot and killed outside nightclub.
Karma is a bi**h. Jason Green, who was suspended by the FDNY for 30 days for abandoning a dying pregnant woman, Eutisha Rennix, in December 2009, at an Au Bon Pain store, was shot in the face outside a Greenhouse club in Soho at about 5 a.m., New York police said. He was later pronounced dead at New York Downtown Hospital.According to the NY Daily News, Green had been refused entry into the popular nightspot, which is on Varick St. in the West Village, police said. The gunman who killed Green fired from inside a car near the intersection of Vandam St. and Hudson St., about a block from the club, police said. This sounds like a targeted killing and one has to wonder who else he crossed or if this was a case of mistaken identity. Either way, it will be interesting to see how the police investigation shapes up and if anyone is arrested for his murder.
Green and fellow EMT Melisa Jackson, 23, were eating at the coffee shop near FDNY headquarters when an employee asked them to call 911 for help and they did come to the woman's rescue. His death won't make up for the loss Ms. Rennix family has endured, but it is proof that karma is a b**ch.
