Jeffrey Kramer, Wife Lori & Son, Michael, Shot to Death in Apparent Home Invasion in Darien, Ill., Suspect Still at Large

Three family members in shot to death in home invasion in Darien, Ill., no suspect(s) in custody at this time.

Jeffrey Kramer, Lori Kramer and their son, Michael Kramer, were found shot to death inside their home in Darien, Illinois, this morning. According to MyFoxChicago, three other people were inside the home at the time of the shooting, but were unharmed.

At 2:59 a.m. police received a call from the daughter, who is believed to be in her early 20s, inside the house. She was hiding upstairs and told police she heard a suspicious noise or shots fired in the home in the Tara Hill subdivision in the 8900 block of Kilkenny Drive, according to Darien Deputy Police Chief John Cooper. Police found a woman and two men fatally shot in the house, where they all lived, according to Cooper. Jeffrey Kramer reportedly owns a towing company in Cicero, but police had no information about whether the family business may be somehow involved in the shooting, according to MyFoxChicago. From the appearance of the crime, it seems to have been a home invasion. There is no suspect in custody at this time. The police do not believe this was a random crime. It was a targeted act.
