Oscar Awards has its Kanye West Moment When Elinor Burkett Upstages Roger Ross Williams' Acceptance Speech

A Kanye West moment occurred at the Oscar Awards when Elinor Burkett interrupted acceptance speech by filmmaker Roger Ross Williams.

We had a Kanye West moment at the Oscar Awards. Producer Elinor Burkett just upstaged filmmaker Roger Ross Williams as he tried to give his acceptance speech for winning an Oscar Award for "Music by Prudence." An apology from this woman should be demanded if she doesn't have the decency to say sorry on her own accord.

Burkett went on to take up the rest of their allotted time, until Williams interrupted her and mentioned offered praise to the namesake of the film, Prudence, a Zimbabwean singer, who is crippled and deformed with a debilitating condition known as arthrogryposis, according to the Music by Prudence website.
