Black Conservative Blogger, Solomon (Solly) Forell, Calls for Assassination of President Obama Over Health Care Reform

Black conservative blogger, Solomon (Solly) Forell, uses public Twitter account to call for the assassination of President Obama. Later tries to backtrack.

There are just some things that people need not do and that includes threatening to assassinate the president of the United States. According to Jezebel, Solomon (Solly) Forell, a self-described black conservative blogger, used his public Twitter account to urge the assassination of President Barack Obama because of the passage of the massive health care reform legislation. In the Tweet, he said, "We'll surely get over a bullet 2 Barack Obama's head!" There's more and it gets worse: "the next American with a clear shot, should drop Obama like a bad habit. Forget blacks or his claim to be black." Wow. This is typical of the Republican Party machine and their racist behavior.

The U.S. Secret Service has launched an investigation of Forell's threats, which he quickly tried to recant. Er, when you advocate the assassination of the president, of course it will stir interest you idiot. I wonder if this idiot realizes that it is a federal crime to make threats against the president, per 18 USC Sec. 871.The Secret Service should send a message to all those people who threaten to kill the president by pressing charges against them.

He said, "I have no intent, desire or motivation to harm the POTUS," he told DailyFinance by email. "I can't imagine why you're interested in my recent tweets." he added. "Oddly enough, they've caused more of a stir than they were designed to."

Forell's threats were made Sunday morning -- and prompted an outcry. His response? "Attention Whining Liberals: No one wants to hurt the precious #EMPEROR. Stop your crying. The whole lot of you are a modern day joke. #tcot"

Forell's tweets used the Twitter "hashtag" of "#tcot" -- which stands for "top conservatives on twitter." That's a list of conservatives on Twitter. Using such a filter makes it easy to find tweets by anyone who uses that tag (#tcot, in this case) to search Twitter. Source: DailyFinance

The reality is that the Republican Party can't seem to understand why many blacks view them with suspicion. Last weekend, during the Tea Party demonstration on Capitol Hill, Rep. John Lewis (D-GA), who was beaten in a march in Alabama, was called a nigger and another black lawmaker was spat on. I have never heard so much vile and racist rhetoric in all my life. I thought we were moving forward, not backwards. There's nothing wrong with disagreeing with any president, but when it involves denigration because of his race and a threat to murder him, then we have a real problem.
