Yolanda Johnson's Three Kids Find Her Body in Apartment, Police Want to Talk to Boyfriend

Yolanda Johnson, 35, found stabbed to death in her bathroom in downtown Atlanta. Police want to talk to her boyfriend.

No child should ever have to come home from school to find their mother's dead body. Three of Yolanda Johnson's four children came home from school in downtown Atlanta Thursday evening to find her dead body. Police said the woman's boyfriend is not a suspect, but they do want to interview him.

According to the Atlanta Police Department, there were signs of struggle in the woman's aparment. According to WSB-TV, Maj. Keith Meadows of the APD said, "during the altercation, the suspect produced a knife and stabbed the victim, at least 4-5 times."

Channel 2 Action News reporter Linda Stouffer spoke with the victim's mother, Barbara Moon, who said that the children found her on the bathroom floor of their apartment.

It is my hope that police apprehend the murderer quickly. I shudder to think of the psychological effect this heinous crime will have on the children. This is a travesty.
