Robert Krentz, southern Arizona rancher, found shot to death on his ranch, shortly after confrontation with illegal immigrants. Death under investigation.
Robert Krentz, 58, a well-known southern Arizona rancher was found shot to death, along with his dog, shortly before midnight Saturday on his ranch, located 35 miles northeast of Douglas, KPHO said. According to media reports, he was reportedly murdered shortly after a confrontation with illegal immigrants. Krentz, was reportedly inducted into the Arizona Farming and Ranching Hall of Fame one year ago. He has served as president of the Cochise-Graham Cattlegrowers Association. This murder points to the need for stricter border patrols and an overhaul of the current immigration system. We can't sit and watch the drug wars in Mexico, coupled with the illegals sneaking across our borders. We have to act now and with force that this will not be tolerated.
