Former American Idol Winner Fantasia Barrino Hospitalized After Prescription Drug Overdose

Former American Idol winner Fantasia, who is embroiled in sex-tape-adultery scandal after Paula Cook files divorce petition against her husband, reportedly hospitalized tried to commit suicide.

More drama with Fantasia Barrino. According to TMZ, she is hospitalized after prescription drug overdose. All this is coming on the heels of Paula Cook, who has accused Fantasia of breaking up her marriage to Antwaun Cook. You see, Fantasia picked the wrong married man to mess with. Paula Cook is out for her jugular and I don't blame her one bit. Even Nancy Grace has started coverage of this drama and she was not sympathetic to Fantasia one bit.

Her spokesman confirmed a TMZ report. He said it was a combo of aspirin and sleep aid.

Earlier this week, Paula Cook filed a lawsuit accusing her husband Antwaun of cheating on her with Fantasia and even implied there were sex tapes in the mix. Fantasia’s lawyer then accused Cook of seeking publicity by throwing Fantasia under the bus although he said Fantasia was not the reason the Cooks were having problems.

“Last night, Fantasia was hospitalized. She took an overdose of aspirin and a sleep aid. Her injuries are not life threatening. She was dehydrated and exhausted at the time. Fantasia is stable now. She will be released from the hospital soon.” Source

Let's see if this drama will come to an end or we are in for more details of her escapades with another woman's husband. What I find despicable is that Fantasia tries to come off as a "goodie two shoes" and singing at religious events, yet quite oblivious to the Ten Commandments, particularly the one that states "thou shalt not commit adultery." Some role model for her daughter. Antwaun Cook should be ashamed of himself for flaunting his "mistress" in front of the whole world, as though he didn't have a care in the world. He owed it to his children and his wife to conduct himself better, even if his relationship with her was strained.

Patti Labelle considers herself a second mother to many of the young singers and I wish she would school Fantasia on how to be a lady and not another man's "easy-lay." This is in the same vein as Alicia Keys' affair with her new husband, Kasseem Dean, also known as Swizz Beatz, who was married to another woman. He did it to his previous wife, Mashonda, and he'll do it to Alicia Keys in a matter of time.
