****ShaQuan Duley admits to killing her two sons. Told police she just wanted to be free.****

The Orangeburg County coroner has released the names of two toddlers recovered from a car found submerged in the North Edisto River in South Carolina. The children have been identified as Ja'van T. Duley, 18 months old and Devean C. Duley, 2. According to WISTV.com, the children's mother, ShaQuan Duley has been arrested and charged with leaving the scene of an "accident." Authorities have said there's a possibility that this was not an accident. Shouldn't ShaQuan Duley have been wet from being in the water, since she claimed she lost control of her vehicle and it went into the river?

The South Carolina Highway Patrol was called to the Shillings Bridge boat ramp for a report of a vehicle in the water around 6 a.m. Monday. Once on the scene, troopers, believing it was more than an accident, called the Orangeburg County Sheriff's Department.

Orangeburg County dive team members discovered the bodies of a 1-year-old and 2-year old boy inside the Green Dodge Intrepid at 6:40 a.m. The toddler's bodies were still strapped in their child restraint seats when they were recovered.

According to Orangeburg County Sheriff Larry Williams, the boys' 29-year-old mother walked almost a mile before calling for help. Williams said she described the incident as an "accident." Source
Authorities said ShaQuan Duley has one other child and is also from Orangeburg. She is charged with leaving the scene of an accident. Williams said there's a possibility this was not an accident. Police maintain they did not see any evidence pointing to an accident. Here's my question, how do you walk nearly a mile away from your children strapped in their seats in a submerged car? Sorry, but I would have given my life trying to save my kids. This just doesn't pass the smell test. This sounds like a throwback to Susan Smith, also of South Carolina, who drowned her two kids in 1994. I did a little digging around and found her Facebook page. She is a medical code billing specialist student at Everest University and graduated from Orangeburg Wilkinson Senior High School. For her sake, I pray that the fate that befell her two toddlers was an accident and not a deliberate act of violence against them.

UPDATE#1: Murder charges are being sought against ShaQuan Duley in the murders of her two small children. Orangeburg County Sheriff Larry Williams said investigators were ready to present their case to a judge in the hopes of securing murder charges against her. He also said there were inconsistencies in her story, most notably why her clothes were dry after claiming she was in an accident that caused her car to enter the river.

UPDATE#2: According to police, ShaQuan Duley suffocated the two toddlers before driving the car into the water. This is such a shame. Where is the father of these two boys? Sheriff Larry Williams said she just couldn't afford to take care of the children. The father has failed these two boys. Once again another black man has kicked his responsibilities to his kids to the curb. He is no where to be found.

UPDATE#3: ShaQuan Duley reportedly got into a fight with her mother, who told her she wasn't taking good care of her children. She is an unemployed woman, who was mother & father to her children. The reality is that she isn't the first single mother in this country. If she couldn't take care of her children, give them up for adoption. Don't murder them. Such an unspeakable act of violence against two innocent children.
