Iowa Republican Kim Lehman Tweets President Obama Actually a Muslim, not a Christian

Kim Lehman, one of two Iowans on the Republican National Committee, says President Obama is actually a Muslim, not a Christian.

Some members of the Republican Party continue to wallow in the muck. Kim Lehman, on of two Iowans on the Republican National Committee said she suspects President Barack Obama is actually a Muslim and not a Christian. She wrote this on her Twitter page. President Obama has repeatedly said he is a Christian, but no, members of the Republican Party continue to try to divide their party and insult American voters like me, by trying to pin the Muslim label on him.

Here's my question, so what if he's a Muslim? Does that mean that automatically makes him a bad president or a terrorist? It is clear to me that the silence of the leaders of the Republican Party such as John Boehner, Eric Cantor and Michael Steele speaks volumes. They want this to continue to divide and scare the American people. Kim Lehman, Sen. Mitch McConnell and all those people who have a problem with his religion are hypocrites. Where was the outrage towards the Roman Catholic Church over the myriad of sexual abuse of little boys by some of their priests? News flash, not every Muslim is a terrorist, as not every Christian during the Civil Rights struggle was a racist and a member of the Ku Klux Klan.

Back to this idiot, Ms. Lehman. She posted the Twitter message last week in response to a news article on Politico's website. According to the Des Moines Register, the article said that Obama - whose father was raised as a Muslim - has repeatedly found his faith questioned and has confronted the rumors head-on. On Thursday, she said on her Twitter page, "@politico you're funny. They must pay you a lot to protect Obama. BTW he personally told the muslims that he IS a muslim. Read his lips."

This is a dirty tactic by the Republicans and I hope it backfires. Surely the party's leaders recognize that this is a very divisive issue and could alienate voters like me.
