Prince George's County police launch investigation into deaths of four people in Maryland home.
SHOCK: Prince George's County police are investigating the deaths of two women and two children found in a Lanham home.Police spokeswoman Lt. Tammy Sparkman says police received a call about an assault at about 2:40 a.m. Friday. Sparkman says when officers responded to a home in the 6800 block of Third Street they discovered the bodies inside.According to media reports, the victims, including a boy and girl under the age of 6, were found living in a room about a detached garage. The room did not have electricity or running water, Police Chief Roberto Hyman said during a press conference. There was also no toilet or air conditioning. This room wasn't fit for anyone to live in. He further stated that the room was filled with trash, debris and filth. The media reports are saying the deceased may be from Congo, but that we have not been able to confirm that.
She says all four were pronounced dead on the scene. Police cars were parked Friday morning on the block where the bodies were found. Yellow police tape was stretched across half of the street and tied to the fencepost at one home. A white Crime Solvers van was also parked in the tree-lined neighborhood of modest rambler houses that includes Sovereign Grace Baptist church. Source: MyFoxDC
