Durand Robinson, 50, one of the organizers of Atlanta's annual Black Gay Pride was shot and killed early Wednesday morning, Atlanta police said. Robinson had reportedly gotten into an argument with someone just before he was shot and killed. Family and friends believe he was the victim of an attempted carjacking, but police haven't released a motive or named a possible suspect.Robinson was co-owner of the popular gay nightclub Traxx. According to WSB-TV, his body was found lying in the middle of Hadlock Street in southwest Atlanta just after 1 a.m., police said. Investigators told Channel 2 that Robinson had been shot in the chest. He was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
