Nation of Islam's Louis Farrakhan warns Wyclef Jean not to run for president of Haiti due to pitfalls that will await him.
Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan is warning Brooklyn-bred rapper Wyclef Jean not to run for the Haitian presidency. In my opinion Wyclef Jean is unqualified to run for any political office in the United States or Haiti. Haiti needs highly qualified people to rebuild the country after years of being plundered by corrupt politicians. Simply surrounding yourself with knowledgeable people isn't the solution. He has to be knowledgeable himself. Since there were some really serious financial blunders with his Yele organization, one has to question his readiness for such a role. If you can't manage a small charity, how can you manage an entire country, especially one being dogged by a myriad of social issues. Never mind the fact that his Fugees bandmate Pras recently announced that he is supporting another hopeful, Michel Martell, because he is the most competent candidate for the job.Watch Louis Farrakhan's speech:
