Four Females, Including Two Children, Ages 2 & 4, Found Shot to Death in Home in Upscale Community in San Clemente, Ca.

Two women, two children, ages two and four, found shot to death in Calif. home.

Gun violence has hit yet another family. At least four family members, a 37 year old mother, her two daughters -- ages two and four -- and a woman in her 60s, who leased the home, were found shot to death in an upscale gated community in San Clemente, Ca. According to KTLA, deputies, who were called to the home by the homeowner to conduct a welfare check, found the bodies in the home on Calle Sonador inside the exclusive Careyes community at about 1:30 p.m. Monday, after reports of domestic disturbance. The victims have not been identified. The authorities have reported that this was a murder-suicide.

Orange County Sheriff's spokesman Jim Amormino, said "multiple victims" were found inside the house, and that they were members of the same family. He said there were no survivors and no outstanding suspects. He also said that the incident wasn't an intruder situation and there was no danger to the community. He also said  a child custody dispute may have motivated the shootings. The children's parents were estranged and the father didn't live at the home, Amormino said. It seems as though the killer is one of the deceased.

According to media reports, the home is being rented and another homeowner in the community heard the disturbance and alerted the homeowner, who then called the police. This is a senseless tragedy that should not have occurred.
