Alaina Reed Hall (Amini), Costar of 90's Hit Television Show "227," Dies After Battling Breast Cancer, She was 63

Actress Alaina Reed Hall, who played Rose Lee Holloway on the 90's NBC television sitcom "227" has died on December 17, 2009, after battling breast cancer. She was 63 years old. Alaina was married three times. Her first marriage ended in divorce. The union produced two children. She married Kevin Peter Hall in December 1988, after meeting him when he guest starred on 227. She was widowed in 1991 after he died of pneumonia-related complications after contracting AIDS. At the time of her death, she was married to Tamim Amini.

You may remember Alaina as Olivia, Gordon's younger sister, on the children's television series "Sesame Street." After 227 ended, she appeared in guest roles on various television shows including, Blossom, Herman's Head. She provided the voice for the animated characters on Where on Earth is Carmen Sandiego? and Sonic the Hedgehog. She has had recurring roles on Ally McBeal, Any Day Now and ER. She appeared in many films, including Death Becomes Her, which co-starred Goldie Hawn and Meryl Streep. Ms. Reed Hall was an accomplished actress who will certainly be missed.
