William Caldwell III, Dressed as Christmas "Elf," Jailed in Georgia Mall Dynamite Hoax

William Caldwell III is facing the prospect of spending Christmas behind bars for his actions. He was dressed as a Christmas elf and told Santa Claus at the Southlake Mall in Morrow, Ga., that he was carrying a bomb, forcing the evacuation of the mall Wednesday night. He stood in line with kids to meet and take a picture with Santa. Morrow Police said he told Santa that he had dynamite in his bag.

To make matters worst, three suspicious bags were left on the outside area where Santa Claus was, the police said. The bags turned out to be harmless and the police found no explosives.

It is unclear what this man's motivation was, but he has been arrested and hit with seven criminal charges, including terroristic threats and reckless conduct.
