Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar Welcome 19th Child, Josie Brooklyn, into Their Brood,

Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar welcomed their 19th child into the world a little earlier than planned. Josie Brooklyn, weighing 1 lb., 6 oz., at 6:27 p.m. Thursday, at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, Arkansas.

According to People Magazine, Michelle, who has been in the hospital recovering from a gallstone, was taken to the OR for an emergency C-section. She is resting comfortably and the baby is stable and in the NICU for extended care, a rep for the network tells PEOPLE exclusively.

I know there are people out there saying that this may be a sign to stop having children. At least they are married and these children are well-cared for. My maternal grandparents had 14 children, so it is nothing out of the ordinary. I pray for continued good health for the baby and her mother.
