Cincinnati Bengals WR Chris Henry Dies From Head Injuries After "Coming Out" of a Moving Truck Driven by Fiance Loleini Tonga During

CHRIS HENRY HAS DIED

Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Chris Henry was involved in an accident and suffered serious head injuries Wednesday afternoon after a "domestic situation" between him and Loleini Tonga, his fiance. His agents, PlayersRep Sports Management released a statement asking for privacy for his family. The statement also said that he was battling for his life.

According to detectives with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department, the Homicide Unit and H.I.T.S. unit are conducting an investigation. Officers were reportedly called in reference to a person down about one-half mile from the house in which the couple lived. Officers said when they arrived on the scene, they found Henry with life-threatening injuries.

According to the Cincinnati Enquirer, police said Henry was involved in a "domestic situation" with Tonga, who got into a pickup truck and drove away. As she was driving, Henry reportedly jumped into the bed of the truck. The domestic dispute continued and he fell out of the back of the truck at some point. Authorities are investigating whether Henry jumped off the truck or whether he was thrown. According to TMZ, a source tells them that they are investigating the possibility the Cincinnati Bengal was thrown from the truck after Tonga swerved back and forth.
