Seven Northern NJ High School Students Face Criminal Charges Over Animal-Related Senior Prank

Seven Morris Knolls High School students face criminal charges for animal-related senior prank "that went wrong."

Seven high school students from Denville, NJ, are facing several charges for what is being classified by the police as a senior prank "that went wrong." According to 1010 WINS, Denville police said the student, all juvenile boys, were placing rabbits, mice, roosters and chickens inside ceilings at Morris Knolls High School when they were caught earlier this week.

Three of the boys were arrested at the school after a custodian called police shortly after midnight to report seeing people in the building. The other four students were taken into custody shortly thereafter.

The boys face various charges, including burglary, criminal mischief and conspiracy, according to 1010. Animal cruelty charges are pending because officers said one of the animals was injured after falling through the ceiling. Last year a similar prank occurred at the school when unidentified students put a dead deer inside a girls bathroom, according to 1010 WINS.
