Khalifah Muhammad, Morehouse College "Freshman of the Year" killed in car crash in Montgomery County, Md.

Morehouse College's "freshman of the year," Khalifah Muhammad, was killed in a crash in Montgomery County, Md. Muhammad, son of D.C. Ward 8 ANC Commissioner Anthony Muhammad, was a rising sophomore English major at the college.

Police say 18-year-old Khalifah Muhammad and his 20-year-old brother, Idris, were in a car that veered off the southbound lane of Layhill Road and hit a utility pole Wednesday night. Idris had been driving, and officials say he and his brother were wearing seat belts. Officials say two women in the back seat did not suffer severe injuries. Source: WSBTV
