Rogue Dooley Facing Litany of Charges After Dragging On-Duty Officer with Pickup Truck After Police Stop

Rogue Dooley facing litany of charges after allegedly dragging an on-duty Chicago bicycle officer with pickup truck after officer pulled him over.

Low-life alert! Rogue Dooley, Gary, In., is facing a litany of charges after allegedly dragging an on-duty Chicago police bicycle officer about 30 feet with a pickup truck after the officer pulled him over Saturday night, according to the Chicago Sun-Times. Dooley, 37, has been charged with aggravated battery to a police officer, aggravated fleeing police, DUI, misdemeanor reckless driving and driving without a license. He was also cited for failure to obey a police order, operating a motor vehicle without insurance and having alcohol in the car, the Sun-Times said. What's in a name? Rogue? Wow.

The officer pulled over the vehicle, a 1997 Ford F-150 pickup truck, after it allegedly made a U-turn in traffic with its tires squealing, Mirabelli said. When the male officer asked the driver for identification, the truck allegedly took off, dragging the officer down the street. The officer or his bike then got tangled in the driver's seat belt as the driver attempted to flee, according to a Prairie District police officer. The driver stopped 30 feet away from where he had been pulled over in the 3100 block of South Lake Shore Drive when heavy traffic prevented the vehicle's progress, police said.

Paramedics responded to an accident at East 31st Street and South Lake Shore Drive at 8:55 p.m. and took one person to Northwestern Memorial Hospital in good to fair condition, Fire Media Affairs spokesman Richard Rosado said. The officer sustained non-life threatening injuries and was checked out at the hospital but will not be admitted for treatment, O’Brien said. Thankfully the officer did not sustain life-threatening injuries and will not be admitted to the hospital for treatment after being checked out. I hate to point fingers, but I am really sick of seeing some of our able-bodied black men committing a myriad of crimes. Surely their actions can't all be blamed on societal issues. Where's the personal responsibility? Rogue Dooley knew darn well he was driving under the influence, without insurance and a driver's license when he went behind the wheel of that pickup truck.
