U.S. Border Patrol Agent Shot & Killed 15 Y.O. Boy, Sergio Adrian Hernandez Huereca During Confrontation at Border Bridge

U.S. Border Patrol agent shot and killed 15 year old boy, Sergio Adrian Hernandez Huereca after confrontation on U.S. side of Paso Del Norte border bridge.

According to media reports, a U.S. Border Patrol agent shot and killed 14 year old Sergio Adrian Hernandez Huereca after a confrontation at an international bridge near downtown El Paso, Mexican authorities said Tuesday. The boy was allegedly throwing rocks at the officers, but the family begs to differ. They state he was visiting his brother who works in the area and was playing with friends. An investigation into this shooting must be launched, but if there wasn't a constant traffic of illegal immigrants from Mexico into the United States we wouldn't have needed so many border patrol agents.
"Mexican federal police and forensic experts stand next to the body of 14 year-old Sergio Adrian Hernandez Huereca, under the Paso Del Norte border bridge, as US officials watch from the US side at right, in Ciudad Juarez, northern Mexico, Monday, June 7, 2010. Chihuahua state officials released a statement Tuesday, June 8, demanding a full investigation into the death of the boy who was allegedly shot by a U.S. Border Patrol agent after a confrontation, according to Mexican authorities." According to US Customs and Border Protection spokesman Doug Mosier, only one person was shot "Monday evening on the U.S. side of the Paso Del Norte bridge, across from Ciudad Juarez, Mexico." Source: Raw Story
Funny how the Mexican government is calling for an investigation, but they seem to turn a blind eye on their citizens trekking across the border and, in some cases, committing crimes against U.S. citizens. They are saying that stones to guns isn't fighting fair.

UPDATE#1:  It seems that this teen is a known juvenile smuggler. According to Fox News, he was charged with alien smuggling in 2009. He is reportedly on a "most wanted" list of juvenile smugglers compiled by the U.S. authorities in El Paso area.
