SHOCK: Adam Theall, of Rome, NY, fatally shot his three-month old son, Ethan Theall, in front of state troopers Tuesday morning and was then shot and critically wounded by officers in Blossvale, according to 1010 Wins. Theall, who has a lengthy criminal history, was reportedly outside a home in Oneida County when troopers arrived after receiving 911 calls that he had threatened to kill the baby.

"He was intent on killing his child," Coots said. "The report from 911 was that he was going to kill his child. As soon as the trooper got out of the car, he did it." The boy was declared dead at a hospital.

Adam Theall, of nearby Rome, was hit several times and was in critical condition. Why am I not surprised that this dirtbag was on probation and was previously charged with a misdemeanor assault and endangering the welfare of a child? What I cannot understand is why he was out on probation? He should still be in prison due to his lengthy criminal history. I thought the more times one breaks the law the longer the prison sentence for subsequent convictions? How can anyone be so cruel to their own child? This was a reprehensible act on his part and I hope the prosecutor seeks the death penalty in his case.
