Otis Mathis, disgraced former Detroit Board of Education president, could face criminal charges stemming from fondling himself before superintendent Teresa Gueyser in private meetings.
The Hinterland Gazette first brought Otis Mathis to its readers when we discovered that he, as the Detroit Board of Education president, could not write a coherent sentence, yet represented students all across the city. At the time, he claim he had a learning disability, but defied the odds to attain such a status in his career. Well, one week after he resigned amid allegations of fondling himself, a police request for criminal charges against him was delivered to prosecutors on Friday. The request stems from accusations by the district's superintendent, Teresa Gueyser, who said Mathis had touched himself in a sexual manner in front of her during a private meeting. According to the Detroit News, Ms. Gueyser said he had previously done so in other private meetings with her. Dang, that's just nasty. This fool admitted to inappropriate behavior in a letter he recently wrote to colleagues and true to form, he laid blame elsewhere -- on "ongoing health problems" for his "poor judgment."Read more: Criminal charges sought against Mathis | Detroit News
