Teacher Judith Novellino found brutally murdered in Denville home, ex-husband being sought by police as "person of interest," was this a case of domestic violence?"
Judith Novellino, a Denville, NJ hight school English teacher, was found dead Saturday and stabbed more than 80 times. Police are looking for her ex-husband, Anthony Novellino, as a "person of interest" in the case. We all know what that means. Judith Novellino, who taught at Morris Catholic High School for over 25 years, was found dead in her home on Saturday evening, according to
MyFoxNY.
The 62-year-old high school English teacher was killed in what Morris County Prosecutor Robert A. Bianchi Esq said, "can only be described as a very brutal and violent encounter." The autopsy confirmed she died from blunt force trauma. A relative made a 911 call to the Denville Township police department at 7:02 p.m after finding her body inside of the home. Police said they are looking to speak to Anthony Novellino, 63, who recently divorced her but still lived in the home with her. Judith Novellino was set to move out of the house later in the week. I have written very extensively about domestic violence and I am once again saddened that another case has seemingly resulted in the death of the woman. Domestic violence cuts across socioeconomic background and race. It can literally be considered a silent killer, much like hypertension.
