Michael Steele and the RNC launch new web site to mark President Barack Obama's birthday by mocking prominent members of the Democratic Party, such as Charlie Rangel.
Excuse me if I don't find the humor in the Republican National Committee's Barack Obama birthday cards. I am still waiting on Michael Steele, John Boehner & Mitch McConnell to tell the American people what their plans are to create jobs, cut the deficit, end two wars and how to get the country out of the recession. Instead, Michael Steele & Co. would rather poke fun at President Obama with these ridiculous birthday cards, oblivious to the fact that many people are aware of Sen. John Ensign's ethics violations, which should be a criminal investigation instead. Here's an excerpt from the RNC press release I received this morning:
The Republican National Committee (RNC) announced a new web site today to mark President Obama’s 49th birthday. The site, titled “Barack’s Birthday Cards” can be viewed here: www.baracksbirthdaycards.com.
Unfortunately, with nearly double-digit unemployment and growing voter outrage, the President can expect as many headaches as presents from fellow Democrats. See below for a few of the tidings the 44th President can expect to receive:
o Nancy Pelosi: “What do you give the guy who has everything? How about Charlie Rangel and Maxine Waters? Hugs and Kisses!”
o Tim Geithner: “To celebrate your birthday, the Human Fund is announcing that they have ‘Saved or Created’ 100 jobs!”
o Martha Coakley, Creigh Deeds, and Jon Corzine: “We got you that dinner jacket you had your eye on. We noticed you were missing some coattails.”
I am laughing so hard I forgot there are many people still losing their jobs and the foreclosure rates keep climbing. Give me a break. We want solutions, not jokes at the expense of others. Once again, the Party of No would rather poke fun at President Obama than offer a solution to one of our problems.
