Basketball Brawl at Monessen High School in PA, Caught on Tape, Five Adults & One Student Arrested
Talk about a basketbrawl! That's what occurred last Friday at Monessen High School in Pennsylvania, who was hostingWashington High School. The brawl, which began during half-time of the game, led to five adults and one student arrested.
As the brawl escalated, it was like a rolling stone gathering moss. It involved dozens and spilled into the hallway. Security guards and police tried to restore order, and police used a stun gun on one student. That has sparked controversy, after video aired on WTAE Channel 4 Action News showed a Taser up against Chauncey Roilton while he was handcuffed inside the school gym. The student said the officer deployed the weapon, but the police said the offer did not. Roilton's mother begs to differ. She reportedly said her son has marks on his body from the Taser. It should be interesting to note that taser guns have a recording device that will show if the trigger was pulled. We'll see how this plays out if an investigation is ordered.
According to WHEC.com, police have said they may consider additional charges for disorderly conduct after they watched a video of the fight. According to reports, the brawl broke out after a fight between two girls. The game was completed without fans in the stands. Talk about basketbrawl!
