NBC Serves Fried Chicken, Collard Greens & Jalapeno Cornbread for Lunch in Honor of Black History Month

NBC has come under heat after it was disclosed that it's cafeteria served fried chicken, collard greens and jalapeno cornbread for lunch, in honor of Black History Month. According to the Huffington Post, the picture was snapped by Questlove, the drummer for the Roots, which is Jimmy Fallon's house band. Wow. That's deep, but would Mexicans be upset if NBC had burritos and tacos for Cinco de Mayo? Why are we so thin-skinned about fried chicken and collard greens? The sign has since been removed from the cafeteria and NBC has apologized if it offended anyone.

By the way, the cafeteria's chef, Leslie Calhoun, is black and said she has been trying to institute a special Black History Month menu for years and got the green light to do it this year. Well, for all the people who say this is racist, well, that theory just took flight and is laughable.
