Tonessa Jones, 40, Arrested & Charged with Having Sexual Relationship with 14-Year-Old Girl

Tonessa Jones of Woodstock, Ga., arrested and charged with having sexual relationship with 14-year-old girl. Being held without bond in Cherokee Adult Detention Center on a litany of charges.

Tonessa Jones, 40, of Woodstock, Ga., has been arrested and charged for allegedly engaging in a sexual relationship with a 14 year old Atlanta girl, the police said. The police, acting on a tip, went to the woman's apartment in Woodstock and she advised detectives that the juvenile was not in the apartment, but that was a bare-faced lie. The girl, characterized as a runaway juvenile, was found hiding in the shower.

According to the the AJC, Cherokee County's Lt. Jay Baker said the two met and had been communicating on a phone chat line for several weeks.

Ms. Jones was charged with aggravated child molestation, contributing to the delinquency of a minor and obstruction of an officer. She is being held without bond in the Cherokee Adult Detention Center. The teen has since been returned to her family in Atlanta.
