Andrea Mitchell Appears on MSNBC's "Daily Rundown" and Mocks Sarah Palin With Notes Written On Hand (VIDEO)

For the first time, I actually liked most of what Sarah Palin said during her speech at the Tea Party Convention in Nashville last weekend. That was fine until I realized, through various media outlets, that she had scribbled some notes in her hand. Andrea Mitchell mocked Palin this morning on MSNBC's "Daily Rundown" with notes written on her hand and she said that was "one of the most interesting things" from Palin's appearance over the weekend. Chuck Todd, a co-host of the "Daily Rundown," tried to defend Palin by saying, "we've all done notes." But Mitchell continued and said Palin's "cheat sheets" were damaging in that she had described Presdeint Obama as a "charismatic guy with a teleprompter." "If Mitt Romney had notes on his hand, wouldn't we take it pretty seriously?" Mitchell asked Todd and his co-host Savannah Guthrie. Todd stammered, "She does, sort of, get played... she has different rules." Therein lies the problem I have always had with Sarah Palin -- playing by the same set of rules as she wants everyone else to do. Sorry, but the standard-bearer for the Republican Party isn't Sarah Palin.

Now, as for the whole notion of Sarah Palin running for president of the United States, bring it on. That would even be a far worse proposition than Scott Brown. She is having delusions of grandeur if she thinks she can just waltz in and get the GOP nod for such an office. Don't get me wrong, there are many ways Sarah Palin can serve her country, effectively, but from the White House ain't one of them. She is certainly no Margaret Thatcher or Hillary Clinton, for that matter. Picture her in a serious discussion with world leaders -- Russia, China and France -- crib notes scribbled in her hand and all. Dang, I just got sick. Besides the fact that she didn't talk about any policy issues in her speech last weekend, it's laughable to think she has enough of a Republican base to take her seriously. She may get pass Iowa, but that's it. Picture her being taken seriously in South Carolina, New Hampshire, New York, Pennsylvania, etc.

Hat tip to Andrea Mitchell for showing how hypocritical Sarah Palin continues to be. Watch Mitchell mocking Sarah Palin's "cheat sheet:"
