Houston Off-Duty Police Officer, Frank L. Pierce, Critically Wounded in Shooting, Two Men in Police Custody

Off-duty police officer Frank L. Pierce critically wounded in shooting in Houston apartment complex. Two suspects in police custody.

The Hinterland Gazette has been very vocal about the senseless shooting of police officers by armed thugs. An off-duty Houston police officer, Frank L. Pierce, was shot and seriously wounded this afternoon when he surprised two suspected burglars at a west Houston apartment complex, according to the Houston Chronicle. Officer Pierce was shot in the chest and is listed in critical, but stable condition after ongoing surgery. He was working an off-duty security job when he saw a man carrying a television and other items from an apartment in the apartment complex in which he resides. He ordered the man to stop, another dirtbag emerged from the apartment and shot the officer, who joined the Houston Police Department in 2007.

I am just really tired of seeing these young black men committing these horrific acts of violence. Why can't they find something better to do with their lives? Crime does not pay and they give decent, hardworking, law-abiding, productive black men a bad name. Two men have been taken into custody, though investigators were still trying to determine if they are the suspects.
