He said: "Great news of Senator Bayh's retirement, good prospects of change in Indiana has now become much brighter. I am happy for the Hoosiers." The last time I looked at Senator Bayh's voting record, he's pretty much a centrist. Also, Joe Wilson seems to be oblivious to the fact that Bayh's approval rating is 61% and he was 20 points ahead of his opponent, so he would have won his seat. There is no indication that the people of Indiana were upset and disillusioned with the senator.

Rep. Joe Wilson (R-SC) Says Sen. Evan Bayh's Retirement "Great News, Prospect of Change in Indiana Much Brighter"
Rep. Joe Wilson (R-SC) strikes again. He's taking great pleasure in Sen. Evan Bayh's (D-IN) decision not to seek reelection in November of this year. Bayh was pretty clear in his speech that the behavior on both sides of the aisle played a big role in his decision not to seek reelection. Behavior just like Joe Wilson's, as evident from his Tweet:
