BREAKING: Former President Bill Clinton, 63, has been transported to Columbia Presbyterian Hospital in New York City, for a condition related to his heart.
According to ABC News' chief political correspondent George Stephanopoulos reported that sources said he was taken to the hospital "likely for a stent procedure."
President Clinton "underwent a procedure to place two stents in one of his coronary arteries," said Douglas Band, a counselor to the president, in a statement, which came following a visit to his cardiologist.
President Clinton's hospitalization comes about six years after he underwent quadruple heart bypass surgery at the same facility.
