Four Officers Shot, One Fatal in Buchanan County VA Shooting, Suspect Still at Large

URGENT: It's been a bloody weekend for law enforcement agents. According to WCYB, four sheriff's deputies were shot, one fatal, near Grundy, VA, at about 3 p.m. Sunday.
Here are the facts we have confirmed. The shooting happened near Grundy in the Devils Branch area about 3 p.m. Officers are searching for a suspect. They are near the intersection of State Routes 620 and 83. Emergency dispatchers say a man began shooting at deputies with a rifle from a mountainous area. It's unclear exactly why the officers were at the location where the shooting started.

Officers from several different Southwest Virginia departments are actively searching for the suspect at this time. Virginia State Police is also on the scene. At this point, we don't have a specific description of the suspect. The conditions of the other deputies are not known at this time. We do know one deputy has been flown to Bristol Regional Medical Center. but we don't know their condition at this time. Source
Saturday night Nassau county, NY, police officer Geoffrey Breitkopf was accidentally shot and killed after being mistaken for a suspect by a Metropolitan Transit Authority (MTA) police officer, as they responded to a domestic disturbance call. The suspect, Satanist Anthony DiGeronimo was fatally shot, after he terrorized residents of a Massapequa neighborhood Saturday night. That was followed by another fatal shooting of an officer in the line of duty. Alain Scharbarger was pushed and fell nearly nine feet to his death outside a Brooklyn, NY residence when he responded to a domestic disturbance call about ex-con George Villanueva threatening to kill his girlfriend. Sad, sad weekend for law enforcement.

UPDATE#1: According to WVVA.com, state police said multiple people have been killed in the shooting.

UPDATE#2: WCYB reports, the Buchanan County Sheriff's Department said two deputies have died. The suspect has also been killed.
