Associate Pastor Derek Moses Found Shot to Death in Southwest Atlanta Office, Police Have No Motive or Suspect

Body of Providence Missionary Baptist Church associate pastor Derek Moses found in his financial services office, no suspect in custody.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family of Providence Missionary Baptist Church in southwest Atlanta associate pastor Derek Moses, who was found shot to death with multiple gunshots wounds in his financial services office. A coworker discovered Moses' body shortly before 10 a.m. Monday.

A co-worker made the discovery at Moses financial services office in the 2000 block of Cascade Road. "Everyone's in a state of shock as to what happened and how it happened," said the Reverend Gerald Durley of Providence Missionary Baptist Church. Police said the victim’s blue BMW was missing from the location, but was later found on Montreat Avenue. Source: WSB-TV

At this point, police neither have a motive nor a suspect. This is a sad day for Atlanta. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the slain pastor's family.
