Cherry Hill School Administrator Kevin Larson Fired After Allegedly Referring to Two Workers as "Silverback Gorillas"

Kevin Larson, Cherry Hill administrator, fired after referring to two black public works employees as "silverback gorillas" and saying "you should see them with a snow blower that has a banana tied to the front of it."

SHAME: Kevin Larson, Cherry Hill School district's director of operations and facility management, is under fire for sending an offensive e-mail response to Woodcrest Elementary School principal Beth Ann Kob's request for workers to plow snow after a January 28th snowstorm, according to NBC Philadelphia. His response: “All of my polar bears, trained seals and two silver back mountain gorillas on loan from the township were working elsewhere that day.” Wait, there's more: “You should see them with a snow blower that has a banana tied to the front of it, they go through a blizzard like nothing you ever seen,” he reportedly wrote. A source told NBC Philadelphia that he was certain Larson was referring to two black workers as gorillas. Disgraceful. Of course I think he should be fired and the school board voted to do so.

I just find it amazing that people who make such racist comments have the nerve to say they meant no harm. Really? Then why say it? I would like to know what took the school board so long to fire Larson. This email was sent in late January and we are approaching the end of March. Just take a good look at Kevin Larson, who looks like an albino gorilla?
