Georgia Judge Jack Camp, Appointed by President Ronald Reagan in 1988, Arrested on Drug Charges

Senior Judge Jack Camp, a district judge serving North Georgia, has been arrested on drug charges, according to WSB-TV. He was charged with buying cocaine, Hydrocodone and Roxycodrone from a stripper, with whom he had a sexual relationship, at the Goldrush Show Bar in Atlanta. Shameful. Absolutely shameful.

Judge Camp is reportedly being held at an undisclosed location and had his bond set at $50,000 during a Monday afternoon arraignment. Chump change for a judge.

He was appointed to the bench in 1988 by former President Ronald Reagan. It is ironic that he has presided over countless drug cases, only to be arrested for similar offenses. Camp, a Vietnam vet, is a graduate of The Citadel and has presided over many civil rights cases. According to the Atlanta Journal Constitution, he also oversaw some high-profile cases, including the 2004 sentencing of  two men accused of killing DeKalb Sheriff Derwin Brown to life in prison without parole. He was also the judge who handed down a life sentence to former pro wrestler Harrison “Hardbody” Norris for luring women to his home and using them as prostitutes.

FBI agents who arrested Camp Friday said they found two illegal firearms in his car along with a bag containing blue pills and a white powdered substance. No matter how you look at this, the last thing one would expect a judge to be arrested for is drugs.
