Texas Teacher Jose Gregory Juarez, Facing Charge After Dragging 9 Year Old Girl by Hair

SHOCK: Jose Gregory Juarez, a Texas teacher, was placed on administrative leave after his arrest for knocking a nine-year old girl to the floor and pulled her back up by her ponytail. Juarez now faces a charge of injury to a child for his alleged actions, according to the Houston Chronicle.

The El Paso County sheriff’s office announced the arrest of 49-year-old Jose Gregory Juarez on Monday. Juarez was arrested Friday and booked into the El Paso County jail on a charge of injury to a child. His bond was set at $45,000, and he was released Saturday.

The mother of the 9-year-old told sheriff deputies her daughter was knocked down Wednesday, then dragged around by her leg before being pulled back up by her ponytail. Source

No matter what the child did, the teacher was wrong for what he did. He shouldn't be placed on administrative leave. He should be fired. I am sure the school knew about this from the complaints of the child's mother. He should be fired.
