Pastor Billy Eckstine McCurdy charged with 11 counts of sexual abuse of teen boys in another gay sex scandal involving a religious leader.
Another gay sex scandal involving a pastor. According to Las Vegas Review-Journal, Pastor Billy Eckstine McCurdy of the Revival Temple Church of God in Christ was arrested last Friday on 11 sexual abuse charges. Yep, this is of the same ilk as the accusations leveled against Bishop Eddie L. Long over sexual coercion of four young men -- Anthony Flagg, Maurice Robinson, Spencer LeGrande & Jamal Parris. He’s accused of using his position in the church and Bible scriptures to force the boys into sexual relationships with him.Sorry but the modus operandi of these sexual predators are the same -- heap material things on the victims, get them to feel comfortable being around them and then they move in for the kill. If these allegations are true, this wolf in sheep's clothing should spend a long time behind bars. Here is another prime example of the church losing its influence in the lives of many. This man was trusted by members of his church, but he was nothing more than a common criminal. He violated these young boys and he should pay for this by spending the rest of his life in prison.
Both boys testified before a grand jury, which indicted McCurdy on Thursday of six counts of sexual assault and five counts of open or gross lewdness.
The indictment came five years after a similar case against him was dropped. Police say McCurdy has spent a lot of time with young people, including trips to Arizona and California. Source
