SC Pastor Prophet H. Walker Plans Rally to Call for Resignation of Bishop Eddie L. Long Amid Gay-Sex Scandal

The Eddie L. Long gay-sex scandal continues. Bishop Prophet H. Walker of the True Light Pentecost Church in Spartanburg plans to hold a rally on the stops of the state Capitol at the end of the month to demand Long's resignation over the gay-sex scandal, according to the Atlanta Journal Constitution. This is another David vs. Goliath scenario. You will recall that Bishop Long was sued by four young men: Anthony Flagg, Maurice Robinson, Spencer LeGrande and Jamal Parris accusing him of sexual coercion.
Bishop Prophet H. Walker of True Light Pentecost Church in Spartanburg called Long a "bad influence on the Christian church and future generations."

"He has no right to assume the office of pastor of any Christian church," Walker said. "A pastor should be above reproach."

"When this first came out, I wouldn't follow it," Walker said. But as the number of lawsuits grew, he said he decided to speak out. Walker said his church is against homosexuality. Walker said the rally will be held to "support the integrity and character of the Christian faith." Source
Of course, Bishop Walker, in my opinion, is just looking to capitalize on this scandal by staging a rally. If the allegations against Long are true, then he needs to step down and deal with his personal issues. I am amazed at the Jim Jones-like atmosphere that was apparent when Long first addressed the congregation. Sorry, but his congregants need to understand that they may not know him as much as they thought.
