Exclusive Interview: Former Atlanta Mayor Shirley Franklin Says Roy Barnes is the Right Choice for Georgia's Next Governor

The Hinterland Gazette interviewed former Atlanta mayor Shirley Franklin Monday morning and I must say it was very riveting. Ms. Franklin will spend a year at Spelman College, in Atlanta, in an endowed fellowship funded by Bill & Camille Cosby. She has also thrown her support behind Democratic gubernatorial candidate Roy Barnes. She said we need a governor who knows how to fix the problems that confront the state. She said we don't need to have someone like Nathan Deal in office who will have to be trained.
