Violent Ex-Con William Thomas Valentine Jr. Indicted on Charges for Beating Alfred Lorenzo Harris with Toilet Tank Cover

Well, this is a first. A toilet tank top used as a murder weapon. According to the Athens Banner-Herald, William Thomas Valentine Jr., a violent ex-con, was indicted by a grand jury on charges he beat Alfred Lorenzo Harris to death last month with a ceramic toilet tank top.

William Thomas Valentine Jr., 40, killed Alfred Lorenzo "Shorty" Harris early the morning of Oct. 10 inside Harris' home at Garden Apartments off North Street, Athens-Clarke police said.

Valentine then kidnapped a woman (a criminal herself) who witnessed the murder and took her to Madison County where the woman said he raped her, according to police.

Grand jurors Tuesday returned an indictment charging Valentine with malice murder, two counts of felony murder, aggravated battery, aggravated assault, kidnapping with bodily injury and aggravated sodomy. Source: Athens Banner-Herald

Well, I am not surprised this scumbag has a lengthy criminal history, which includes multiple felony convictions. It begs the question of why was he free the roam the streets instead of being behind bars?
