Domestic Violence Stemming from Missing Ricotta Cheese Leads to Death of Theresa Kenna Wilkes, Husband Charged with Assault

SHOCK:  The body of Massachusetts resident Theresa Kenna Wilkes was found outside her home just hours after she got into a violent argument with her husband, Frederick Wilkes, over some missing Ricotta cheese, Thursday evening.This is clearly a case of domestic violence. According to the Boston Herald, Wilkes became irate when he could not find the ingredients to make lasagna. He, his wife and a friend Mario Donnarumma, who were watching "Monday Night Football," had been drinking and then decided to make an Italian dish for dinner. Mrs. Wilkes' body was found barefoot in her driveway around 6 a.m. Tuesday and cops said she appeared to have scrape marks and blood on her face.

Reaching into the refrigerator for ricotta cheese, Mr. Wilkes was enraged to find the container full of beans, it is alleged. The couple began to argue and the altercation quickly became physical, with Mrs. Wilkes hitting her husband several times. Mr. Wilkes, in turn, hit his wife three times on the side of her head, Donnarumma told police.

Donnarumma said he offered to go get more ricotta, but returned with alcohol instead, prompting Mr. Wilkes to fling the container of beans at his wife, who was sitting on the couch. The fight then escalated, with Mr. Wilkes dragging his wife and the bean-stained couch out of their Chelsea, Mass., apartment. The couple proceeded to have a loud argument outside, and only Mr. Wilkes returned, locking the door behind him, the report said.

According to Donnarumma, Mr. Wilkes opened the door again to throw his wife's purse outside. The body of Mrs. Wilkes was found early Tuesday morning. A cause of death had yet to be determined. Mr. Wilkes was not charged with murder but faces three counts of assault and battery. He was being held on $15,000 bail, the Herald said. Source: My Fox Atlanta

It is not clear how Wilkes died, but an autopsy will clear all that up shortly. It is unconscionable that the couple argued over Ricotta cheese and her husband beat her in the process. Give me a break. Alcohol will change any situation for the worst. I hope this man will not even think about drinking, much less to actually drink again, after their reckless behavior led to the death of Theresa Kenna Wilkes.
